At 16:00 UTC on Monday, April 8th, 2019, NS1 engineers will be deploying a significant upgrade to our entire monitoring subsystem, this is expected to be completed by 18:00 UTC. During this time regional status updates from NS1 monitors may be paused for up to a few minutes, causing monitors to retain their last answer for this brief period. Once the upgrades are complete, service will resume as normal. DNS service will be otherwise unaffected.
As part of the upgrade, we will be changing the source IPs for our monitoring nodes. Customers who have previously whitelisted the NS1 monitoring IP addresses will need to update their firewall rules to allow the new IP addresses to pass through. Failure to update IP whitelists may result in monitors being unable to reach their target endpoints. It is important that you update your whitelists to avoid any service interruption.
